Trojan girls get key win over MFL-Mar-Mac

Lead Summary

Perhaps the toughest opponent for basketball squads this season may just be Old Man Winter.
Because when snowflakes from the sky above accumulate on the ground, it can make it tough for prep hoops squads to get games in this winter.
The Turkey Valley Trojans, along with hundreds of other basketball teams this week, found out the hard way after several inches of the white stuff postponed or cancelled prep athletic events across the state late last week.
TV (10-4, 7-2) postponed its home games versus Tripoli on Thursday and Clayton Ridge on Friday. The game versus CR has been moved to the regular season finale and will be played on Saturday, February 6.
The Trojans and head coach Carla Nymeyer still managed to get a game in this week and it was a key road victory over MFL-Mar-Mac.
That kept TV’s hopes alive for a conference title after the 47-45 win away from home a week ago Tuesday avenged an earlier season home loss against the Bulldogs. MFL won that contest, TV’s second game of the year, by a score of 46-38.
