Tribune football contest winners announced

New Hampton resident Mark Kuennen obviously knows his high school football as he picked 12 of the 13 games correctly to win this week’s Tribune football contest and a $25 gift card from Fareway.Norma Jean Beck and Tatum Jenkins both went 11-2, but Baker got second place when she “nailed” the tiebreaker — the total points in the New Hampton-Charles City game — by guessing 47 points.Beck will receive a $15 gift card from Vern Laures Auto Center, and Jenkins will get a $10 gift certificate to the Blue Iris.This week’s games appear on Page 8 of this edition of the Tribune and entries can be dropped off at the newspaper through 5 p.m. on Friday.
