School year kicks off with cool scenes

Lead Summary

Tuesday marked the first day of the academic calendar for New Hampton Community Schools, and although the years change, the scenes don’t on Day One.So as another school year begins, here are some random scenes we saw on the school grounds, hallways and classrooms ...... Young children — especially first-time preschoolers — having a hard time saying goodbye to mom and dad. “Wait a minute,” the looks in their eyes said, “you’re leaving me?”... Excellent class participation, right from the start. Take Jamie Wickham’s first-grade classroom, for example. Students were asked if they wanted chocolate milk for milk break, and 15 of the 19 hands shot up.For the complete story see the 8/26/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
