Rude preparing for season in spite of COVID-19

Lead Summary

Flash back to a month ago, and the members of the New Hampton softball team were gearing up for the season by attending voluntary practice sessions, and Lisa Rude was excited to begin her first year as the head coach for the Chickasaws.
However, a lot has changed in the past month due to the Coronavirus, putting the softball season in jeopardy of being canceled, something Rude is hoping doesn’t happen.
“The suddenness and uncertainty makes it hard,” Rude said. “The seniors have stuck it out for this opportunity. It would be heartbreaking if they weren’t able to have it.”
