Race is for a great cause, but Trib’s skid must end

I knew we were in deep trouble in the annual Chickasaw County Farm Bureau Grocery Cart Race almost as soon as I turned over the clipboard.No where on the list did I see “Snickers,” “frozen pizza” or “ice cream.”Instead, our list included good food — like vegetables, canned fruits and staples that would make good nutritious meals.Throw in the fact that it will take me a gazillion years to figure out Fareway’s new arrangement — sorry, folks, I just don’t handle  change that well — and quite honestly, I would have put my money on the fine folks from KZCE-FM 95.1, better known as “The Bull” if anyone had been taking bets.— For more on this story, see the March 1 New Hampton Tribune.
