A spectacular season came to an end Wednesday as the Chickasaw volleyball team lost a four-set match to Tipton at the state volleyball tournament.
Despite 14 kills by Rachel Rinken, the second-ranked Tigers — led by 24 kills from Sommer Daniel — defeated 13th-ranked New Hampton 25-17, 17-25, 25-23, 25-19.
 
"It was a lot of fun to come down here and play," Chickasaw senior Lauren Frerichs said after the loss. "And it was great to look up and see all the people that came here to support us."
