Making it count

     They took their lumps as sophomores and juniors to experience games as seniors like the one coming up on Friday.     Thanks to a come-from-behind 26-12 win over West Fork last Friday, Nashua-Plainfield will be playing its most meaningful game this late in the season since the Huskies advanced to the Class A state quarterfinals in 2014.     “This is what you want,” senior lineman/linebacker Nathan Dettmer said of Friday’s home game against Grundy Center. “This is why we stuck together for the last two years — to get a chance to play in a game like this.”     Nashua-Plainfield win over the Warhawks improved the Huskies to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in Class A, District 3 play and kept the Huskies very much in the playoff race.
