Huskies endure tough stretch on the diamond

Lead Summary

To say Nashua-Plainfield softball is in the midst of a tough stretch recently would be a giant understatement.Six losses by a combined score of 80-9 stretched the Huskies losing skid to 14, and a big part of the problem, says their coach, is confidence.“We make plays in practice and we just have to translate that into games,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Dani Demuth said. “We need to get a win, and I think that would solve some of the problem. The girls are battling but nothing’s working right now.”It isn’t as if some of the Huskies haven’t put together solid games. In a 12-0 loss to Rockford last Thursday, McKenzie Ludemann went 2-for-3. In the nightcap, a 12-2 loss, Aubry Bienemann went 3-for-3. More on the story may be found in the June 23 Reporter.
