After completing her education, Edna worked at home with her mother to help with her siblings.  As a teenager, she worked at a bowling alley where she met her future husband, John Koleno.  The couple was united in marriage on April 27, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Hampton, where they made their home.  Edna and John welcomed two children, Linda and Steven.
Throughout the years Edna worked at Ferkins Motel and later took care of numerous children in her home.  They also enjoyed spending their summers camping.  John passed away on January 8, 2000.  Even after John’s death, Edna looked forward to every camping season.  She remained in their home the remainder of her years.
Enda was known for her pies and baking.  She spent many years bowling and was in several bowling leagues winning a number of awards.
