Alvina Katherine Bodensteiner dies at 97

Alvina Katherine Bodensteiner, 97, died Oct. 10, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospice. She was born in Waucoma, on Aug. 28, 1930 to Theodore and Rose (Croatt) Schmitt.  She lived her entire life in Waucoma, with her husband, Ray Bodensteiner. At age 90, Alvina moved to Holiday Hills Retirement Estates, Rapid City, SD, to be closer to her family.
Alvina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Bodensteiner, son, Carl Bodensteiner and grandson, Jon Bodensteiner.
She is survived by four sons, Mark (Judy), Seattle, Washington, Robert (Mary Kay), West Bend, Wisc., Don (Pat), Tom (Mary Katherine), and daughter, Mary (Cal) Weidenbach, all of Rapid City, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
