Saturday, July 11
10 a.m. – Fairgrounds Cleanup – Fredericksburg FFA and Devon Dreamers
Sunday, July 12
8 a.m. – Barns open and horses MUST be stalled by 10 a.m.
11 a.m. – Horse Show (spilt show – games continued Monday).
1-3 p.m. – Clubs can decorate booths
2-4 p.m. – Farm Bureau Cook Out Contest
4-4:30 p.m. – Cook Out Judging for Showmanship and Meat
category
5-5:30 p.m. – Dog Show check-in
5:30 p.m. – Dog Show
Monday, July 13
8:15 a.m. - 4 p.m. – All non-livestock entries and judging (includes gardening and crops)
9 a.m. – Crop exhibits to be in place
10:30 a.m. – Crops Judging
8-10 a.m. – Market Lamb and Meat Goat Weigh-in and Entries
10 a.m. – Breeding Beef & Breeding Sheep Entries Check-in
10-10:30 a.m. – Breeding Meat Goat Check-in
10-11:30 a.m. – Beef Check-in and Weigh-in
11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – No Non-Livestock Check-Ins
2:30 p.m. – Horse Show (games) – Voluntary release of horses after the games
4 p.m. – Meat Goat Judging
5 p.m. – Sheep Judging (Bucket Bottle Lambs will be the first class judged.)
Breeding Sheep and Breeding Meat Goat Released following the show. Any non-selling market sheep and goats must be removed from their pens to avoid confusion with penning swine.
7:30 p.m. – Exhibit Buildings Close
9 p.m. – Non-selling market sheep and meat goats must be removed from their pens.
Tuesday, July 14
6-8:30 a.m. – Swine entries weighed & penned.
8:30 a.m. – Beef scanning
8:30 a.m. – Exhibit Building Open to the Public
10 a.m. – Poultry & Rabbit Entries (poultry will show first)
10:30 a.m. – Poultry & Rabbit Judging in the shelter by the grandstands
12:30 p.m. – Pet Show Entries and Judging. Entries released following show.
1-4 p.m. – 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Contest (open to all members)
5:30 p.m. – Swine Judging
8 p.m. – Exhibit Buildings Close 3
Wednesday, July 15
8:30 a.m. – Exhibit Building opens to public
8:30 a.m. – Beef Judging
12 p.m. – Bucket/Bottle Calf Entries Must be stalled
12 p.m. – Dairy must be stalled
1 p.m. – Bucket/Bottle Calf Judging
2 p.m. – Dairy Goat Judging followed by the Dairy show. (Voluntary release after show)
4:30 p.m. – 4-H and FFA Carnival Set-up
5-7 p.m. – 4-H and FFA Family Barbecue and Fun Night
6:30 p.m. – State Fair Photos and County Council Pictures Taken
6:30 p.m. – TUG-A-WAR WEIGH-IN
7:30 p.m. – Introduction of County Council, Crowning of Queen, Fair Announcements and Awards, Tug-A-War Contest
8:30 p.m. – Non-Livestock Entries Released (optional)
10 p.m. – All non-selling market and breeding animals must be off the fairgrounds by 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
10 p.m. – Exhibit Buildings Close
Thursday, July 16
6:45-7:45 a.m. – Auction Weigh-In Sheep and Swine
7:45-8:30 a.m. – Auction Weigh-In Cattle
8 a.m. – Complimentary Breakfast sponsored By Security State Bank of Calmar, Charles City, New Hampton and Ossian
9:30 a.m. – 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction
9-11 a.m. – Release of Non-Livestock Exhibits
11 a.m. – Fairgrounds Take-Down and Clean-Up – Lawler Lassies & Lads and Jolly Blue Bells
