Ethan Leibold’s teammates maul him after he was honored for scoring 1,000 points. Leibold also broke the school record for career points at Turkey Valley, previously held by his current coach, Chris Sullivan.

A record-setting night

Leibold goes over 1,000 points, breaks school record; Sullivan gets 100th career win in TV’s sweep of NFV

Throughout the game against North Fayette Valley on Friday night, Turkey Valley boys basketball coach Chris Sullivan could be heard yelling at his star player - Ethan Leibold - to shoot the basketball. However, Leibold opted to try and get a better look for one of his teammates time and time again.

Leibold entered the contest just three points shy of 1,000 for his career and seven points short of the school record (1,004) held by coach Sullivan during his playing days at the school he now coaches for.

And even though Leibold is an extremely unselfish player, it didn’t take him long to surpass each of these historic marks.
