Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Democrats, Republicans and Independents. It is time to replace the Bias, Spin and destructive politics that exist today.
    It exists in large part because a great many of us have become “Fat, Dumb and Happy.” People have too much time on their hands; everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. It seems everyone has their own agenda to espouse.
    We live in the greatest country on Earth. If you do not believe this, stop reading and turn on your television and let those so-called “talking head experts” accentuate the negative.
    It is easy to point fingers and find fault. Example: “Politicians blame farmers for high food prices and big oil for rising prices at the pump.” We need to start positive action (pertaining to energy, health care, education, environment and infrastructure) by becoming “Focused, Daring and Hungry.”
    I want to wake up tomorrow morning and read that oil executives have an aggressive five-year plan for drilling and adding refineries that will make us self-sufficient. On the same page, auto makers commit to manufacturing and having readily available hydrogen powered cars within two years. On page two, the headline reads “Construction begins on 20 nuclear power plants.”
    Am I dreaming? Maybe. After all, isn’t this one of the few countries where an individual can succeed at making their dreams come true?
    Every politician should have a plaque sitting right in the middle of his/her desk with the following inscription: Because we had power, we thought we had wisdom.
