Just when you thought I either died or moved away, I’mmm Baaaack!
    After a nine-year retirement of getting old, fat and extremely bored, my old job was looking better everyday. When I saw the opening, I applied for the job and the current owners were nice enough to give me another chance.
    And, if you thought I was obnoxious and outspoken before, you are really going to love the older me. Age has a way of sharpening your tongue while it dulls your senses. That is the reason I am changing my column name from “Common Sense” to “Senior Moment”. It just seemed more appropriate.
    Once again, you will be bombarded with a weekly column of my personal gibberish. And I don’t care whether you agree or disagree with me as long as it makes you think. And you are welcome to express your opinions to any column I write as long as your are willing to sign your name to it also.
    On a more serious note, these are tough times for everyone. Normal life has changed for all of us, and we need to fight back in order to survive. Money is tight and everyone is looking for values and bargains. As our largest assets plummet in value, we face prices that we can no longer afford.
    I intend to do my best to change that and I intend to start right here at the Tribune. My goal is to grow advertising and subscription revenue here at the newspaper by giving you the best product possible at the best price possible. Value will be my focus; getting our money’s worth will be our goal. Customers will once again be King here at the Tribune!
    In order to achieve this, I need your help. I would like to hear what is on your mind. I need to know exactly what we need to do to earn your advertising business and subscription readership.
    Write, call, e-mail or stop in with your suggestions. This is your chance to help us make a real change for the better. Like it or not, New Hampton is our town and the Tribune is your local newspaper. Together, let’s make them the best they can be.
