Four Trojans earn conference honors after 12-1 campaign

Lead Summary

Turkey Valley didn’t dominate the Upper Iowa all-conference lists as much as some might expect of a team that won their second straight conference title, and didn’t lose a UIC game until one slipped through their grasp late in the season.
Ethan Leibold earned first team honors, while Evan Drilling was on the second team and both Levi Izer and Jordon Snyder landed honorable mention spots.
Both South Winn and Postville had a pair of players on the first team while Central placed one on the first team and two on the second. Turkey Valley defeated South Winn and Central twice, and split with the Pirates.
But coach Chris Sullivan explains why that happened, and it actually had to do with a Trojan strength this season.
“We were a balanced team and our stats didn’t stand out individually because we were so balanced,” he said.
