Announcement is being made of a baby girl born to proud parents Halie Grove and Parker Downs, Charles City.
    Ava Clare Downs was born on Jan. 21, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City. She weighed six pounds and seven ounces and was 19 inches long.
    Grandparents are Steve and Denise Grove, New Hampton, Gary and Peg Danhour, Clear Lake, Pat Downs, and Deena Downs both of Charles City.     Great grandparents are James and Delores Grove and Lyle and LouAnn Schaufenbuel all of New Hampton; Janet Leach, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Dean and Joan Danhour, Palos Heights, Ill.; Myrna and Skip Ward, and John and Gere Downs, all of Charles City. Great-great grandparents are Alice Grove, New Hampton and Marjorie Nixt, Charles City.
