The next Lawler Seniors Meeting will be at the Community Center Wednesday, Sept. 10, starting with lunch at 11:20 a.m. Roger and Emma Wahl will be the hosts. Bingo will be the entertainment.
    The host for the Aug. 13 meeting was Verne Bouska. A delicious meal of roast beef, whipped potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, cake and ice cream was brought from the Chickasaw Centre by Norb and Delores Shileny. Winners in the euchre games were Norb Shileny with high and Mary Ann Kuennen with second high.  The name drawn for door prize was Marcella Wurzer. Alberta Bouska served punch, cake and ice cream after the games.
    Everyone enjoyed the day and is looking forward to the September meeting. Anyone who would like to join can call 641-238-8001 before 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 for a meal reservation. Anyone can come to the center at noon for Bingo without a reservation. Home delivered meals also can be ordered for that day.
