The participants will begin to line up at 1:45 p.m. at the high school, with the parade route to run along Spring Street from South Linn to South Water. There will be cash awards for floats judged on the following categories: Most Creative - $25, Most Humorous - $25, Best Related to Theme - $25 and Best Overall - $75.
The Thursday pep rally will begin at 8:30 p.m. to allow members of the volleyball team to finish competition in a home match against Decorah.
The coronation of the king will be on Thursday, Oct. 1, during a pep rally at the high school football field. The crowning of the queen will be during halftime of the Friday night football game against Independence.
Between the freshmen and varsity football games, new members will be inducted into the New Hampton Athletic Hall of Fame.
The week will end with the Homecoming Dance at the high school from 8-11 p.m. Saturday.
