Let’s be safe during planting season

Warmer temperatures are finally in the outlook and spring planting season is just around the corner if not already begun for many area farmers. With that in mind, Chickasaw County Farm Bureau would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that the tractors, trucks and equipment will soon start to be seen more on the roads. We urge everyone to drive safely; non-farmers and farmers both. Remember to take extra caution when passing farm equipment on the roads and when traveling on dusty gravel roads. Patience is a key word for us all to work together to ensure safe travels for everyone. Also, take caution when equipment drivers are making a left hand turn.Farmers, remember to use your “slow moving vehicle” signs and additional flashing lights when it starts to become dark outside. The best way for all of us to make the spring season as safe as it can be, is watch out for each other’s safety and remember patience is a key factor. We wish everyone a safe and happy spring season.
